Kierston Drier is a fantasy cartographer based in Toronto, Canada, specializing in intricate fantasy maps for novels, worldbuilding, and TTRPGs. Since beginning her mapmaking journey in 2023, her work has been featured in novels (The Seven Words by J.O. Farrow, Rising on the Dragon’s Wings by Baine Fox) and TTRPG live streams (Apron Strings, Tales of the Valiant, YouTube). Her latest battle map will debut in an upcoming Mysticquill Collective one-shot. Under her brand, Wildcraft Maps, Kierston combines artistic creativity with technical precision to bring fantastical worlds to life. This is her first mapmaking workshop.
The map workshop will go over:

- materials needs
-how to draw a map key/legend 
- practicing the shapes of map assets (how to draw coastlines, mountains, lakes, rivers, forests) 
- Drawing icons for towns, cities, ruins, roads systems, etc
- drawing a basic land mass with the “dump-and-trace” method
- how to do a compass rose 


This class is 12+. There is a minimum registration needed for us to run the class. If that is not met, the class will be cancelled and signups refunded.
